Finland is known for the picturesque landscapes that cover the hills of this beautiful country.
The Koli Nature Centre Ukko was created to highlight the heritage sites of Eastern Finland and showcases the natural environment, geological features and the rich culture of this region in a variety of ways.
Our task was redesign and manufacture the Koli Nature Centre Ukko visitor area and add an exhibition section that encourages all visitors to go for a hike in the Koli National Park to experience it first hand.
We are very proud of the final result, which manages to take the beautiful natural inspiration of the Koli region and transforms it into an interior architecture solution and a design language that feels natural acts as an extension of the region.
Smooth and uncomplicated cooperation in the planning and construction of the Koli Nature Centre Ukko renovations and excursion exhibition. The change of project managers and travel between countries brought challenges, but these challenges were overcome by close communication and by working persistently towards a common vision.
A museum that blends modern solutions with historic architecture to create the perfect atmosphere for celebrating the exciting world of natural medicine and plants.
Renewal of the permanent exhibition of the oldest museum building in Estonia, enabling the museum to offer an entertaining and modern experience - “Earth – Life – Story”.
